Melty-cheesy-grilled tomatoey-bacony deliciousness - this jaw-dropping upgrade to everyone's favorite sandwich, the BLT, is pure comfort food anytime of year! Stir up a batch of our Spicy Pimento Cheese, slather it on some crusty sourdough bread with sliced tomato and crispy bacon and get ready for an umami-rich experience like no other!
Spicy Pimento Cheese Dip
1/4 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Taste #5 Bomba! XXX tomato paste
Taste #5 Umami Rush
Taste #5 Umami Pepper
12 slices sourdough bread
12 slices bacon, cooked till crisp
or 6 thin slices of ham
1 large, ripe tomato, sliced
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the mayonnaise and Taste #5 Bomba paste.
Spread a small amount on both sides of each slice of sourdough.
Lightly toast the bread in a toaster, on a griddle or in a hot skillet.
Layout 6 slices of toasted bread.
Spread a generous amount (2-3 tablespoons)
of Spicy Pimento Cheese Dip on 6 slices of bread.
Top each with a slice of tomato.
Give a good shake and grind of the Taste #5 Rush and Pepper to each tomato.
Top the tomato with bacon/ham and remaining toasted sourdough.
Lightly press each sandwich together.
Cut each sandwich on the diagonal.
Transfer to a baking sheet
Transfer sandwiches to a baking sheet.
Place in the hot oven for 10-15 minutes until the sandwiches
are warmed through and the cheese is melty and a little runny.
