Bomba Egg White Omelette

You do undoubtedly lose some flavor when you omit the yolks from an omelette. But this is a clever way to re-inject some flavor to this classic low-fat, high-protein dish.

Serves 1

INGREDIENTS

½ teaspoon olive oil
4 egg whites or 4oz egg whites from a carton
1 tablespoon chopped mixed fresh herbs such as dill, parsley, mint or chives
freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon Taste #5 Umami Bomb


Method

  1. Heat a non-stick skillet on a medium heat and add the olive oil.
  2. Pour in the egg whites and herbs and stir in the black pepper, making sure everything is combined.
  3. When the egg whites are almost cooked, add the Umami Bomb and gently spread with the back of a spoon.
  4. Fold the omelette in half then transfer to a plate and enjoy straight away.
